Thomas Tuchel Expresses Disappointment Over Home Crowd Support Despite Dominant Wales Victory.

The England head coach shared his disappointment that the England team did not get stronger support from the Wembley fans during their impressive 3-0 friendly victory on Thursday evening.

The manager was happy to see his team continue their good form, with finishes from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the initial stages settling the game. But, he was displeased with the atmosphere at the iconic venue.

“With limited sessions to prepare against a well-trained team and we did very well,” Tuchel stated. “We could have been five goals ahead at the break. We missed the additional goals. It was quiet. There was no any energy back from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“What more can you deliver in 20 minutes? We prevented them escape. When you only hear just the Welsh supporters for half an hour, it’s disappointing because the squad earned more support today.”

“I support my words. There’s nothing more than being 3-0 in a rivalry match. I hoped for a little more backing in moments where it becomes tough.”

“After halftime, to cheer us on, there was a bit too much support for Wales. It might have aided us to regain energy, but that’s football and that is it.”

Squad Decisions Justified by Performance

Away from potentially starting a fight with fans, Tuchel also raised eyebrows by omitting Bellingham and Foden from his squad. However the choice was justified by Rogers impressing again in the attacking midfield role and getting his maiden goal for his country.

“He plays his game,” Tuchel said. “He operates as an attacking midfielder and he is competing for his place.”

Bellamy Seeks Improvement from Defeat

The Wales manager expressed hope that his team, who host a strong Belgian side in a key qualifying match on next week, improve after their awful performance in the opening period.

“This is why I scheduled this friendly,” the manager stated. “I need to see our standing. Where do we want to go? What is our identity? This performance gives me motivation.”

Fitness Worry for Striker

Watkins was taken off at half-time after clattering into a post and will be a doubt when the national team play their next opponents in Riga in a World Cup qualifying match on Tuesday.
